Most Recently:

Tony has been busy with personal appearances.  He is in hot demand in Las Vegas these days, because he is an industry icon.  He is a veteran actor, who happily shares his recollections of fellow actors, and his impressive career.  Because he's so exciting in person, he brings back the era of Hollywood with each story he tells, with a love of life and jest for living.

He is currently in training for an upcoming stage performance in Texas.  He is taking tap dancing lessons, as well as singing lessons in Las Vegas.

There will be an art show at the University of Las Vegas which runs from December through January.  (more details) 

Tony is enjoying his home here, with his beautiful wife Jill.  They have worked together to furnish and decorate their new home, and will enjoy their first Christmas in it this year.

Interesting  2000 Notes:

Tony is in popular demand since arriving in Las Vegas.  His artwork is on display in many fine restaurants and art galleries.  Tony is invited to all the important galas not only for his notoriety but because he is known as one of the nicest guys in town!  He and Jill travel back to L.A. at least once a month for obligations they have there.

April 21, 2000, The 50th anniversary party at the Desert Inn was a great who's who in Las Vegas!  Celebrities Tony Curtis, Susan Anton, Dick Van Patton and his son Vincent, Rip Taylor, Kevin Sorbo, Steve Wynn, and Dick Kelly were all scheduled to attend the black-tie dinner.  (Dick Kelly is Bill Clinton's Father in Law and a regular visitor to the Desert Inn)

December 02, 2000, Tony Curtis received the CineVegas Lifetime Achievement Award at the Paris Hotel, Las Vegas.
